The Faceshop Mini Pet Hand Cream Review

Hi there, here I am with another cute product. (I’m always a sucker for cute packaging) The Korean brand called The Face Shop has created a range of cute selection of adorable hand creams. They come in 4 different scents:

  • Baby powder-baby powder perfume
  • Sweets fruit-mango & peach perfume
  • White floral-jasmine & white musk
  • Fruity Floral-Green Peach, Plum & Cherry Blossom perfume

I ordered the whole 4 set of the cute little animals since they make great gifts for people. I gave my sisters the Baby powder and Fruity Floral scents as part of their Christmas presents. They were so happy with them and adored the cute packaging. My sister even keeps the hand cream on her desk at work, she loves having the cute little pet sit on her desk. Since the tubs were so cute, I obviously had to at least keep one for myself. I chose the sweets fruit scent but in the end had to swap with my sister. (She wasn’t happy with the baby powder smell).

Price: £3-4 each from Korea. £5-6 each from UK ebay sellers. (I purchased mine for $17.99 (£12.21) for the whole set of 4 from a Korean ebay seller called ideaseller_kr )

What it does : moisturizes your hand keeping them soft and silky with ingredients that contain high moisture & nutrition.

Packaging: The hand cream is in a adorable plastic tub that makes it look like the little animal is peeking out of a flowerpot. (well that’s what I think). The tubs are wrapped in a see through plastic to show that it’s new and has no outer box packaging. The tub is roughly 5cm tall and contains 30ml of cream. Since it is basic hand cream, there isn’t much writing. Only a small sticker is on the bottom with some Korean writing and a list of all the ingredients that it contains.

My View: Since it’s just a hand cream, there aren’t many benefits or properties that the hand cream claims to have. Except for the cute packaging, which I’m guessing is the main reason why people are purchasing this product and it’s quite cheap for hand cream. (that’s the reason why I purchased it) The cream is very light and absorbs quite fast which is very good and means that it’s not sticky after applying. All the scents aren’t too strong and they all have a nice scent, but that’s my opinion. (I haven’t opened the White Floral yet, might give it as a giveaway competition when I get enough followers, so wait and see ^__^) Depending on how much you actually place on your hands, the scent does last for a couple of hours.

In my opinion, it was a reasonable price for the hand cream that does what it’s supposed to do which is to moisturize your hands. Though for me personally i think the tub is a bit big to take in my bag, it’s roughly the size of my hands (and I have small hands). So I leave mine on my desk at home, since it’s a waste to put it in a draw especially when it’s cute! That’s why I prefer tubes of hand creams compared to tubs, as I don’t like getting cream underneath my nails. Which is why I use a tiny spoon or spatula, which would be very weird for people to see when I’m outside. Probably think that I’m eating a yogurt. Lol. The scents of the creams aren’t too strong, which is find for me since there is still a faint smell of the cream after a few hours.

So will I repurchase again? Maybe if I was giving it as a gift for someone that likes cute things but otherwise no. Since they’re many different hand creams to try. On the bright side, once I finish the hand cream I can reuse the tub again and store other things.

Have you tried any of the Mini Pet range? Let me know your thoughts on the product!

Hope you have a lovely day!

Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick Review

A cooling eye stick from Tony Moly’s ‘Panda Dream’ Range. Tony Moly is a well known Korean Brand that creates many different beauty products with cute packaging. And as you can see from my posts and from other bloggers, Tony Moly do an exceptional job at producing very cute packaging for their products. There are so many that I want to purchase, just for the packaging. But I have resisted so far with only a couple of Tony Moly products, but not sure for how long that will last before I grab some other products. ^_^ On this occasion, I did purchase the So Cool Eye Stick for the cute packaging. Currently I have been using Simple’s Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll on but thought I needed another one to take with me in my bag.

Price: £4-7 (I purchased mine for £6.69 from a UK seller on ebay, but you can purchase it for £4-5 from a Korean Ebay seller if you can wait for it to be shipped all the way from Korea)

What it does: According to Tony Moly, the stick-type eye product helps provides moisture around the eyes with a cooling effect for when its dry. With ingredients that help with hydration, reducing wrinkle lines and brightens the skin.

Directions (on the box): When your eyes are dry or tired, apply the Stick gently from inside to out and tap lightly with the tip of your finger for better absorption

Ingredients:

Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Stearate, Alcohol, Xylitol, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Glycerin, PEG-8, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Either Dimethyl Silane, Niacinamide, Sodium Citrate, Dimethicone, Adenosince, Actinidia Arguta Fruit Extract, Sea Water, Babus Vulgaris Shoot Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Sap Extract, Glacier Water, Potassium Alginate, Methyl Methacrylate, Crosspolymer Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Steareth-20, Caprylyl Glycol 1, 2-Hexanediol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Potassium Sorbate, Chrysin, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Tropolone, Fragrance, CI 42090, Phenoxyethanol

Outer Packaging:  The packaging of the eye stick comes in a little see through plastic box with the design being quite basic with just a couple of bamboo imagesDSCN4628 on the front. Around the box there is English written on one of the sides, which is great for users like me who don’t know how to read Korean.  So truthfully I’m not sure what is written on the other side, but I’m assuming that one side would be the same as the English side. The actual eye stick, as you can see is in an adorable panda shape. Isn’t it the cutest? With the little panda smiling on the tube, holding a bamboo leaf. It even has the cute little panda ears. What’s not to love about the packaging.

My view: The great thing about the Panda stick, is it’s very small and lightweight product which makes it easy to carry around in bags for when your eyes feel tired. And personally I felt a bit happy taking a little panda from my bag, though i got a couple of odd looks from people when I took it out in public. Guess they were wondering what it was. lol. The actual balm itself (I call it a balm because it’s like a large lip balm) does have a nice cooling sensation and glides easily when used on the skin which is nice. But the feeling only actual lasts for a few seconds, though it does a great job at keeping my eye moisturized. As for the product saying that it helps with wrinkle lines and brightens the skin, I don’t think any visible signs would be present unless you used the product everyday. Since I only use it when my eyes feel dry and tired, I haven’t seen much difference in the outcome.

Overall I love the product as a whole with the cute packaging and the moisturizing factor, though I actually prefer it without the small inside lid. Personally it’s a hassle to have to take it off when I use it, so I leave mine off all the time (not sure if it keeps it from drying out or not though). Especially when I purchased it, not sure if it was from the buyer or the actual product itself. But when I first opened it, the balm was sticking to the actual inside lid and when I took it off. It yanked the actual balm out of the tube, which was annoying but luckily it went back inside easily. DSCN4637.JPG

In the end, this will be a product that I will repurchase as it’s such a good price for the eye stick and panda packaging. ^_^ And it has a nice cooling sensation without the fragrance being too strong.

Though because I don’t wear any makeup, I’m not sure what the effects are over makeup. So if you’ve tried it over makeup, let me know how it was? Have you tried this product, let me know what you think about it? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Hope your having a lovely day!
